FAQs

Pilates

  • What should I wear?

Ideally, clothes should be reasonably form fitting to allow for postular checks during the session, but please wear clothes that you feel comfortable in, that will allow you to move your body. If you have long hair, it’s useful to have it tied out of the way. For hygiene reasons, we request that socks be worn for all classes.

  • Do I need to bring anything?

You might want to bring some water with you, but all equipment will be provided. If, however, you would prefer to bring your own mat,  you are welcome to do so.

  • Which class is right for me?

Our mixed-ability classes are suitable for all levels of ability, whether you have done Pilates before, or not.

From time to time, we may use some small pieces of equipment, such as the magic ring, sliders and bands to incorporate a little more resistance and add an extra challenge to the workout - and a bit of variety.

Your ability and experience will be taken into consideration for all classes, and as always in Pilates, you can rest when you need to, ensuring you focus on correct alignment, breathing and form over everything else.

  • Are there changing rooms?

We do not offer changing facilities, so please come ready to practise Pilates.

  • Is there car parking?

Parking availability varies by location, so please check the individual class page for more details.

Where parking is available, it will be on a first come first served basis.

  • When should I arrive?

Please allow an extra 5 minutes before the class starts in order to prepare yourself.

Personal Training

  • Why should I use a Personal Trainer?

Some people are happy to follow their own programme in their own time and place; for those who lack the time, or the motivation, or the energy to train effectively on their own, a Personal Trainer can be just the answer.

The support, advice and encouragement comes with safe exercise technique and guidance to help you avoid injuries and reach your goals.

  • How long are personal training sessions?

Most sessions are 60 minutes, unless we’ve agreed a shorter session is better for you. We start and finish on time so you can plan your day with confidence.

Your session will follow along the lines of a brief warm-up followed by your main training programme where you will focus on your goals using cardiovascular, strength or flexibility exercises. Finally there will be a cool down and stretch or relaxation period. Any programme may vary from one session to the next according to each clients' needs and progress.

  • Where do sessions take place?

We can arrange that to suit your preference and goals. It could be at a gym, outdoors in the park or at your home - whichever works best for you.

  • What if I need to cancel?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations will be charged.

  • What if I'm unwell or injured?

Your health always comes first. Let me know as soon as possible and we'll adapt or reschedule.

  • How quickly will I see results?

Everyone is different, but most clients notice positive changes within 4–6 weeks. Consistency is key — and I'll be cheering you on every step of the way!

  • Can I contact you between sessions?

Absolutely! Drop me a message anytime. I aim to respond within 24-48 hours during working hours.
